My Journey:

 My name is Lisa Severson. I am a Spiritual/Energetic Healer and an ordained, Interfaith Minister.

My own healing journey began over 20 years ago when I met a woman who was a psychic. She opened my mind and my eyes to a whole different world than I had been raised with. That encounter started me on the path of spiritual inquiry and eventually opened me up to my abilities as a healer.

In 1988 I got a job at a metaphysical bookstore. I found I had a voracious appetite for learning about the spirit world, psychic abilities and healing with touch, stones and prayer. I was exposed to many professional psychics and healers, took classes, had readings, and explored every avenue I could. When one of the psychics told me I’d end up seeing the world the same way he and other psychics and healers did, well… let’s just say at 24 I wasn’t ready to believe that about myself yet. During that time I had many experiences where I helped people feel better by laying my hands on the areas of discomfort but I was in serious denial about my own gifts. It was as if I was saying to the universe “la la la I can’t hear you” with my fingers stuffed firmly in my ears. I was really only looking into this healing and spiritual stuff to help me with my health and emotional issues. Or so I thought. Almost eight years later, I finally decided perhaps I had a talent for this healing stuff after all and maybe I should get some official training.  

I began to study healing in earnest while also trying to heal my body and spirit. My thought was that if the healing energy came through me, I needed to be a clean conduit. I applied what I learned to myself and have experienced some amazing shifts in my own health and well being. Over the last ten years I have studied Healing Touch, medical intuition, natural health and physiology, spirituality and religion. In January of 2006 I completed over 300 hours of classes in hands on healing and spirituality at the Center For Wholeness in Edina MN. I was certified in hands on healing and ordained as an Interfaith Minister by Rev. Ron Moor.  

Truthfully, I didn’t set out to become a minister (ok, 20 years ago I had no idea where I was going with all of this) but after working with healing clients for many years I realized that healing is a very personal and spiritual experience. I found that it is very important to address a clients spiritual, physical and emotional needs and my training in spirituality allows me to do that. I also have found that sacred ceremonies such as weddings are a wonderful expression of love and healing. I feel humbled and honored to serve as a Healer and Minister.
